Farmed With Passion

The Carey family founded Green Meadows Beef in 2012 to take their grass-fed Angus beef products direct from the farm to the end consumer. Located on Surf Highway 45 across from the 'Green Meadows' surf break in Coastal Taranaki, the prime steers on the Carey farm graze in the fresh air on cool climate grass, beneath Mount Taranaki and alongside the Tasman Sea. Michael Carey is the third generation to farm the 170 ha property.

From Our Family To Yours

A true family business, Michael's son Nick manages Green Meadows Beef, including the manufacturing plant in New Plymouth. Nick, together with a team of butchers and packers, ensure all beef products from the family farm are cut, packaged and delivered to customers nationwide. The manufacturing plan operates pursuant to a MPI-registered Food Safety Programme covering all aspects of production and end-delivery of the beef products farmed on the Carey family farm.
