Mikey Ball

Mikey Ball is a hospitality professional with more than a decade of international experience, including serving as head bartender at the award-winning Dandelyan in London.

This was following work at the esteemed Milk and Honey in London. His international experience includes NZ, Dubai, London and Canada. During his time at Dandelyan, the bar and team won international acclaim and awards including “Best International Hotel Bar“, “Best International Bar Team” and “Worlds Best Bar” in the recent Tales and Spirits awards in New Orleans.

Originally from New Zealand, Mikey has returned to NZ with a focus on developing the local hospitality community through training, consultancy and new product development. Mikey heads up the educational focus, product development as-well as helps out with quality on the production side at East Imperial. Along with his role at East Imperial he fills his time helping other local businesses squeeze more deliciousness out of their products through technique and balance. Mikey champions consistency and the need for control over ingredients. His unique focus on using local ingredients with unconventional methods has been welcomed back home through recent activations, menu consultations, products and most recently his Ballin’ Drinks bottled cocktails and solutions range.
